Damask patterns are commonly referred to as a reversible figured fabric woven with one of the five basic weaving techniques. Dating back from between the 14th and 16th centuries, most damasks were woven in one color. Today damask weaves are also commonly produced in monochromatic colors, featuring flowers, fruits and other designs. Stitch this damask pattern in needlepoint and add a piece of fiber history to your living space.
