The Amur Leopard is one of the most critically endangered species on the planet, with as few as 110 individuals alive in the wild. Native to Southeastern Russia and Northern China, this beautiful big cat has been driven to near extinction by fires lit to clear its forest habitat for agriculture and grazing. It can be distinguished from other leopard species by its thick, luxuriant coat, useful in its chilly habitat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
